The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has officially sent off Uganda Women’s Super League champions Kawempe Moslem as they prepare to travel to Cairo, Egypt, for the CAF Women’s Champions League.

Kawempe Moslem, one of Uganda’s most decorated women’s football clubs, will be making their maiden appearance at the continental championship after qualifying as CECAFA Zone champions in the tournament held in Tanzania.
Despite their dominance of the domestic women’s league since its inception in 2015, the Ayub Khalifa-coached side had not previously featured at the continental level, having fallen short in previous attempts to qualify through the CECAFA Zone.
As Uganda and the CECAFA Zone representatives, Kawempe Moslem will compete in Group B alongside Morocco’s AS FAR, USFAS Bamako of Mali and Ghana’s Ampem Darkoa.
