It is alleged that between April and July 2019, in Kasalaga Village, Mityana District, Lutwama and others still at large forged and presented powers of attorney, falsely claiming they had been granted by Najjemba Christine, an 83-year-old widow.

Prosecution further contends that Lutwama conspired with accomplices at the Mityana Ministry Zonal Office (MZO) to fraudulently obtain certificates of title for land comprised in Busujju Block 56, Plots 249, 113, 106, 100, 121, 125, 126, 122, 70, 112, 114, and 101. He then allegedly sold part of the land belonging to Najjemba Christine.

The suspect was arraigned before court and subsequently remanded until October 25, 2025.

Authorities say investigations are ongoing to apprehend other individuals linked to the fraudulent transactions.
