The face of Kyabugimbi Health Centre IV has undergone a significant transformation following a specialized renovation by the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) Engineering Brigade.
Under the “Quick Impact Project” initiative, the UPDF executed a facelift of the Outpatient Department (OPD) with a streamlined budget of Shs 8 million. The renovation works primarily focused on paving the entrance area of the OPD structure to improve accessibility and a fresh professional painting of the building.

The project is part of the military’s civil-military cooperation efforts; aimed at supporting social services in the communities they serve. By utilizing the UPDF's internal construction expertise, the project achieved a high-quality finish at a fraction of the cost typically associated with private contractors.
During the official handover of the site, officials commended the military's efficiency and called upon the medical staff to maintain the improved environment.
“We are now handing over the facility and we highly appreciate the UPDF Engineering Brigade for their diligent work. We urge the health centre management to use this facility effectively to enhance service delivery for our people,” an official noted during the ceremony.

The new paving is expected to solve drainage and dust issues at the clinic’s entrance, providing a cleaner and more dignified environment for patients seeking emergency and outpatient services.
UPDF also constructed a patients' waiting shade at Bushenyi Health Center 4 at a cost of 23mln. This has just been commissioned for use.
