Mitooma - The Bishop of West Ankole Diocese, Rt Rev Johnson Twinomujuni, on Sunday confirmed 467 Christians at Kabira Archdeaconry during his pastoral visit. Hundreds of faithful gathered to welcome the Bishop and share in the day’s fellowship. In his message, Bishop Twinomujuni urged the newly confirmed—and all Christians—to turn away from sin, work hard, and trust in God.
“God blesses the work of those who remain faithful to Him. Do not grow weary in doing good, because in due time you will reap your reward,” he said.

The day’s main teaching was delivered by Mama Joy Twinomujuni, who spoke about the hindrances to development in modern families. She emphasized that many households fail to set clear goals and often spend their entire income without saving.
“Too often, families spend everything they earn and slide into debt through endless borrowing,” she noted, quoting Proverbs 21:20.

She also highlighted the challenge of disunity in families, which often leads to confusion, uncoordinated roles, and unnecessary expenditure. “When a family lacks unity, it cannot progress. Put your trust in God and keep Him at the centre of your plans, because He never fails,” she told the congregation.

After her message, Bishop Twinomujuni made brief remarks and later conducted an altar call, during which over 300 Christians committed their lives to Christ.

The Archdeacon of Kabira, Ven Rev Canon Stephen Asingwire, thanked the Bishop and Mama Joy for their visit and contribution to the Archdeaconry’s ministry
“Kabira Archdeaconry is strong, with key achievements in evangelism, pastoral ministry, education, and the improvement of places of worship,” he said.

The Head of Laity, Mr Innocent Abasa, also praised the Bishop for spearheading transformation in the Diocese. “We appreciate the Bishop’s leadership and pledge our continued support towards all ongoing projects,” he added.
The service was attended by the area Members of Parliament, Hon Donozio Kahonda and Hon Juliet Agasha Bashisha.
