I visited a friend, and he openly told me that his kids are not very smart. I told him he made a mistake by giving his kids everything they asked for. I believe there is a strong correlation between intelligence and the ability to compete for survival or resources. In every society, men are naturally expected to be more intelligent than women because men are traditionally providers. Men can't afford to be unintelligent, but a woman might be less intelligent and still get by by marrying someone who can provide for her and her children. Women rarely marry down; they tend to marry up. Men, on the other hand, often marry down. You might find a male doctor or engineer marrying his secretary, but it's rare—if not impossible—to find a female doctor or engineer marrying a man of lower social standing, unless she is considered unattractive. Women who support themselves are typically as intelligent as men, if not more so.
In nature, unintelligent animals don't survive for long. If cows possessed just 10% of human intelligence, they would stop reproducing, as there would be no reason to reproduce only to be farmed and slaughtered for meat. Therefore, to foster intelligence in your children, you must empower them to survive independently; provide them with the necessary tools for survival, but don't do the work for them. Nothing I've written is personal; it's based on my own observations of society. Intelligence is necessary for survival, not just to outsmart other species but also within our own species. However, formal education isn't the only source of intelligence. Navigating life's challenges can naturally develop intelligence. For example, traders downtown with little to no formal education often possess more business intelligence than MBA students—it's a fact.
